HIGH WATER—SUN RISES AND SETS
ARRIVALS. The Coastal steamer Dingadee arrived in the bay shortly after midnight on Thursday, from Auckland via way ports, bringing—Mr and Mrs Gillman and three children, Mrs Winter, Messrs Roose, Lord, Allen, and three steerage. The steamer Wairarapa came into port yesterday afternoon, from Russell and Auckland, bringing—Judge Barton, Misses Ray and McCabe, Messrs Everard, Wrigley, McGee, and Master Queenin, DEPARTURES, The Dingadee steamed on to Napier at an early hour on Friday morning. Passengers : Mr* Keys, Messrs Kenwav, C. Gray, Buscke, eDrummond, Lysnar, Kirkpatrick, Espie, Miller, Petersen, Butene, Marshall, and Parker. The schooner Awanui has sailed for her usual round of East Coast ports and Auckland. The ketch Catlin has left for Invercargill, taking 322 sacks maize, shipped by Dunlop and Bourke. The Wairarapa went on south last night, TELEGRAPHIC. Auckland yesterday. Arrived—R.M.S. Mariposa, at 8 40 a.m., from Honolulu, with Frisco mail. Napier, lest night Arrved—Dingadee, at 3 p.m., from Gis«, borne. The Australia steams for Tokomaru, Waipiro, Awanui, and Auckland at 7 tomorrow morning. Last evening the steamer Talune left Wellington, and reaches here early on Sunday morning. She proceeds on to Auckland, Roaaell, and Sydney at 8. The schooner Waiapu arrived in Auckland On Saturday last, from Gisborne. Captain T. J. Blackwell, formerly in the Wand trade, and lately master of the coasting schooner Opotikl, has gone in command of the schooner -Saucy Kate on her Island Cruise. The schooner Gisborne, which left here on September 26th, did not reach Wesport till yesterday. She had an exceptionally rough time of it on the passage down. The schooner Atlanta left Auckland at the end of last month for this port via Tairau, and is now overdue here. The ketch Venus was expected to get away from Napier on Thursday night, and may therefore arrive here at any hour. The topsail schooner Awaroa, from Tairau, it daily expected in Gisborne. The smart little coasting schooner Waiwera it again in port, having arrived from Napier on Thursday night.
