ARRIVALS. The ketch Venus arrived from JS spier on Saturday morning. W. O. Skeet agent. The steamer Australia, from Wellington and Napier, arrived in Gisborne on Sunday morning. Passengers: Messrs Griffiths, Robinson, Brewer, B'ack, and Anderson. The steamer Talune arrived in the roadstead on Sunday morning, from Melbourne and South, bringing—Misses McKay and Oowen, Messrs Reeves, Ritchie, Hi 1, Jeune, Cuff, Branson, Lardelii, Kennedy, Kirk Patrick, Whitby, Parker, Sunderland, Hair, Gardiner, E-pic, ami Kirk. Ex Kaikouia — Messrs W. King, Dobbie, and Gough. DEPARTURES. The Australia went on North on Sunday. The Talune resumed her vovage for Auckland and Sydney about 10.30 on Sunday morning, taking—Mr and Mrs J. R. Jones and child, Mrs Sutherland, Miss Doran, Messrs E. Murphy, Brown, McQuin, and Bracken.

N.fieb, yesterday. Sailed— Obau, at 1 p.m., for Gisborne. The steamer Oba.u arrives here this morning from Dunedin vis way ports. She leaves for Tauranga and Auckland at .8. The schooner Waiwara sails to morrow afternoon for Napier. The ketch Venus is expected to get away kt noon to morrow for Napier. The local agent for the topsail schooner Awaroa, Mr Skeet, informs us that the vessel was lyiog windbound at Mercury B y on Saturday ’ast. but he expects that ehe left that port before this, so that she should put in an appearance here to morrow.
