HIGH WATER—SUN RISES AND SETS
ARRIVALS. The Union Company’s cargo steamer Ohau, from Dunedin via way ports,* arrived in the roadstead on Tuesday morning, bringing—Messrs C. Gray, Dank, Duncan, McDonald, and G. Goldsmith. The schooner Atalanta arrived yesterday afternoon, from Auckland via Tairau. DEPARTURES. The ketch Venus sailed in ballast at 2 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon for Napier. The Ohau steamed on to Auckland on Tuesday mornin". The schooner Waiwera sailed for Napier yesterday afternoon. IMPORTS. Per Ohau —2 hhds ale, Finlay; 7 hhds ale, Harding; 240 bags flour, 17 pkgs Common, Shelton and Co ; 13 pkgs, Dunlop and Bourke; 17 pkgs, Maguire and Co.; 20 pkgs, Williams and Kettle ; 25 sacks malt, Crawford ; 126 sacks oats. The steamer Manapouri, from Sydney and Auckland, arrives in Gisborne between 1 and 2 to-morrow afternoon. She leaves for Southern ports, Hobart, and Melbourne in the evening, the Snark leaving with the outward passengers at 5. The steamer Australia should reach here to morrow night, from Auckland via East Coast ports. The steamer Dingadee arrives in the roadstead to morrow morning, from south. The following vessels are now due in Gisborne Awaroa, schooner, from Mercury Bay; Gisborne, schooner, from Westport.
