Gentlemen from tbe primeval fastnesses of the impenetrable bush are expected to appear olad in Court costume, claw hammers, and white chokers, beariog tbe arms of their guild, namely, a golden grindstone, supported by silver axes on a purple field of supple-jack, with the motto, “ Whilst I live I’ll whaclt,” Huntaways returning in cheque suits (provided the cheque is a large one and a good negotiable pattern) shall be considered en regie, Whippers-in and body-snatchers coming provided, on presentation with the Rex pecuniarum in fisto, shall be cheerfully taken in, and comfortably dossed. One long and special refreshment, together with nine Jubilee shillings and a tanner, given for every second-hand half-sovereign produced at tbe bar of the house.
