HIGH WATER—SUN RISES AND SETS
ARRIVALS. The steamer Dingadee arrived on Thurs day night, from Auckland via way ports. Passengers : Miss Caughlan, Dr Cook, Messis Green, Jarrett, and Beater. The steamer Australia came into port yesterday morning, from Wellington and Napier. DEPARTURES, The Dingadee steamed on to Napier on Thursday night, taking — Mrs McK*y, Messrs Morgan, Anderson, Cooper, Brace, and Stuart. The Australia left for East Coast ports and Auckland yesterday morning. Passengers : Mrs Winter and Mr Price. There was only one passenger booked yesterday to leave by the Tekapo—Mr Shauks. The steamer Tekapo arrives from Russell and Auckland shortly after 1 to day. She goes on South at 7. The steamer Te Anau, from Melbourne and southern ports, reaches Gisborne early to morrow morning. She proceeds on to Auckland at 8 The schooner Opotiki, which was for some considerable time lying idle at this port, has Bailed for Auckland. A master having come down from Auckland to take charge of the vessel. Tbe ketch Venus is again in port, having arrived from Napier on Thursday morning, bringing a full load of timber. Tbe favorite East Coaai trading schooner Waiapu is in Gisborne. She arrived here on Thursday last, having had a splendid trip down the coast.
