THE COMING SEASON. the handsome brown horse “ H U K A T E R E,” (By Ingomar—Bewemer; bred by the Auckland Stud Company) la a Dapple Brown Horse, standing 16 hands 2 inches, with remarkably good bone. WILL Stand the Coming Season, and owners of Thoroughbred Mares are requested to study the following:— INGOMAR (Imp.)—Bay Horse, bred in Ireland in 1872, and imported to N. Z. by Mr P. Campbell in 1884; got by Uncos—Wild Deer, by Red Heart—Mary O’Toole, by Annandale—Dahlia, by New FashionMatilda, by Humphrey Clinker. Ingomar, as a four-year-old, walked over for Her Majesty's Plate, lOOsovs, 3 miles, w.f.a., at the Down Ireland Royal Corporation Summer Meeting, and won the Hurdle Race at Croydon, beating nineteen others. As a five year-old he won the Thom Club Handicap, of 200sovs, added to a sweep of ISsovs, one mile, beating Notus, Riohlieu, Hopbloom, etc; Her Majesty's Plate of io6 guineas, 2 miles (912), w.f.o.—won in a oanter : Her Majesty's Plate, of 100 guineas, 2| miles (8.12), w.f.a., at the Ourragh September meeting—won in a cantor ; Her Majesty's Plate, of 100 guineas, 8 miles (9.13) w.f.a., at the Ourragh October—won in a oanter by six lengths. It will be seen from the above performances that Ingomar was a fine stayer under heavy weights, both on the flat and over hurdles. His tabulated pedigree is full of stout blood, and he is the sire of Locbness, Strephon, 2Euyptilla, Aloinous. Too Good (winner of the Grand National Steeplechase, at Liverpool), and Little Widow (winner of the Hurdle and Steeplechase, at the last meeting of the Curragh of Killdare.)
