HIGH WATER-SUN RISES AND SETS
ARRIVALS. The steamer Australia arrived here from Auckland via wav ports last evening, bringing—One Maori and child. The steamer Talune came into port shortly after noon yesterday, from Sydney and Auckland. Passengers : Mrs Foster, Messrs Tomlin, Whittaker, Heaney, Coleman, Maher, Hogan, Church, Loomb, and Gribbin. The steamer Dingadee arrived in the roadstead early yesterday morning, from Wellington and Napier, bringing—Mr and Mrs Milner, Mrs Mason, Messrs W. L. and A. W. Bees, Buscke, Price, Moffatt, Wills, Carter, and one steerage. DEPARTURES. The Talune left for Southern ports last night. Passengers: Mr and Mrs Sawers, Miss Wethey, Messrs Smith, Jarrat, Watson, Hannah, Bresnahan, Price, Robson, Pardy, O'Grady, Hutchinson, Brown, Chambers, and prisoner Laing. The Australia went on to Napier late last night, taking—Mr Eglinton. The Dingadee steamed for her round of Bast Coast ports and Auckland shortly after ■ 9 a.m. yesterday, taking—Messrs Faram and Bolton. IMPORTS. Per Talune—l case bananas, 2 cases oranges, 2 cases apples, Budd; 1 box, Townley; 6 sacks potatoes, Whitby and Partington; 10 pieces timber, Kennedy and Evans. Per Gisborne—BB tons coal, Clayton and Co. Per Dingadee—s pkgs, Lewis; 1 pkg, Pettie and Harper; 11 pkgs, Williams and Kettle; 54 pkgs, Common, Sbelton and Co.; Lee and Ormond; 54 pkgs, Dnnlop and Bourke; 1 pkg, Burns and Co ; 33 pkgs, F. Hall; 114 pkgs, Skeet; 1 pkg, Harding; 1 pkg, Hennessy. EXPORTS. Per Talune—lo oases lemons, Farmers’ Association; 20 sacks grass seed,’. 1 sack turnip seed, Common, Shelton and Co. Per Dingadee—ls hides, L. and M.A. Co.; 81 hides, Williams and Kettle; 12 cheeses. The steamer Tarawera, from Melbourne via Southern ports, is due here early on Monday morning. The schooner Warataha is daily expected to reach here from Auckland via Tairau, with a cargo of timber for Clayton and Co. Captain Chatfield, of the Talune, reports having passed the ship Wai'angi off Cape Colville between 8 and 4 on Thursday afternoon, but as aha has to contend with light variable winds it is not exo-m’ed that she win be able to reach Gisborne before Monday.
