ORCHARD TAX REVENUE

EXPENDITURE BY FEDERATION

Avenues for the expenditure of the revenue received by tne New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Federation, Ltd., from the orchard tax, are defined in regulations issued yesterday.

These include the maintenance of the registered office of the federation ; the payment of salaries and travelling expenses of officers; purchase of orchard requisites for testing purposes ; investigation, ’ testing, and opening up of new markets for the export of fruit; organisation and improvement of local fruit markets: payments to any institution or bod' conducting researches into or in connection with the fruit production industry for the purposes of such researches and payment of expenses incurred in connection with executive meetings of the federation, and the annual conference of fruitgrowers.
