Tho young lady was about 19 yoars of ago, nnd was v ward of tho Supremo Court. Sho was a daughter of tho Into Mr J. G. Ware, n sqi'attor iv lhe Western district, who died intestate, and sho was entitled when sho cnttio of ago to somo £10,000 out of tho eat ute. When Mr Justice Molosworth Inwd of the marriage, ho culled upon tho young lady's guar linns for an oxphimtion why thoy lind not prevented this occurrence, After hearing what wis to bo said ou the subject he direeto. l an nt'uchmonti to bo issued against Dr Bradford. Of course, so long as that gentleman remained out of the Colony, this writ could not bo enforced. But on July Sth Dr •Bradford and Mrs Brndi'md rcinrnod to tho Colouy, with the view ol submitting to any order which tho Court might mako and yesterday mornitu Dr Bradford nppoured boforo Mr Justice Molesworth in Court, whon Mr Holroyd, on his behalf, said that Dr Bradford was prepared to surrender to tho jurisdiction of tho Court, at tho proper tinie ho should bo prepared to say something in extenuation of tho contempt ot the Court tint hud boen . committed, lli.s Honor replied that nothing could bo done at pivs.mt, except to commit Dr Bradford to tho Molbourno Gaol. Dr Bradford was then taken away in the custody of tho dopnty-sh.-riff.
