A upocial meoting of the Council was held at tlio ChainUoru at 230 p.m., yestorday. Mr Jobn Cullen, tbo newly elected membor for Hampdon Riding was prosout and took bis seat at tho Counoil. ' There were pr«»<siit tlio Chairmnn (Vfr P. Bronnan), and Messrs Cuplos, Byrno's, and Cullon. The minutes of tbo preceding special mooting wore read and confirraod: The Clork read a formal lotter from 'be Returning Oflloor df the Hampdon Riding notifying elootion of Mr John Cullon for that Biding in tho Council. Mr Caples moved and Mr Byrne seconded, " That tho special order mado on the 28th August, 1878. altoring tbo number of reprosontativc.l for tho Bidingi of Crushington aud Boatman's bo eonfiimod."
