THE Inangahua Times. PUBLISHED TRI-WEEKLY. FRIDAY, JAN. 16, 1880.
** ■ .'■■'.'. i *" We are glad to see that action is at length about to be taken to bring under the notice of the Government the necessity of appointing a Resident Magistrate and Warden for Inangabua. Tbe Government haye sbu£9.ed with the subject so long that it is high time ; the inhabit ants took some action in the matter. Every act of the present Minisfry points to the one fact of their complete indifference to West Coast interests, and it seems plain that uns less some determined step is taken by the people to bring sawiwt pressure to bear upon the G-overnmeDt, not alone in tbis matter of the appointment of a Resident Magistrate, bnt equally i^ , respect to all other matters of local concern, the treatment of tbe district will quickly grow from bad to worse.
