Sundry New Zealand exhibits receive lower awards. At the Australian Jockey Club (Autumn Meeting) to«day, the St. Leoeb was won by Petrea ; Nellie, second, and Pontiff, third. Petrea won by three lengths. Time, 3 mm. 21£ sec. Bombay, March 28. Intelligence has been received from Cabul that theie was severe fighting between that city and Gundamuk, Tbe Kohistans having effected a junction with other hostile tribes made a desperate Attack on the British position between Oabtil and Gundamuk, heavy fighting ensued, and many were repulsed with great loss.
