A CORRECTION.
[To thb Ebitob Inangahua Inns ] Sin,— l beg to correct tbe writer of the letter in tbe Herald of to-day. I re» member saying that I had no fault to find as to tbe cleanliness of tbe Hospital, and tbat it was impossible for wards to be more free from impurities or dirt. I did not, and could not say it was impossible to find a better mi 1 ' thin the vrardsroan. and the rest if lite Cou;rat!.ee who arc asserted to i'«V e ] ' v '-' h ptseut s)mu, ' hare
laughed at such an assertion, if made. I don't want to be kept scribbling con« tradictions to such foolish assertions, so must trouble the Writer" of the letter in question to get some respectable person to endorse bis statements, before they will be considered worth noticing for the future. I am, &c, F. A. MONCKTON. P.S.— lf tbe Committee would have an analysis of the Hospital expenditure for the last year made by a competent and disinterested accountant, it might have the effect of showing the management blameless and restoring public confidence, better than rough calculations and loose assertions can ever do. .....= F - A.
