On all Conveyances by Deed under the old system, the co»t of registration in tbe Deeds Registry, over and above tbe Solicitor's charge, is never less than Fiiieen Shillings^ frequently very much more ; while land which has been bought under the provisions of " The Land Transfer Act " can be transferred at a total cost of Eleven Shillings where a whole section is conveyed ; and where only part is conveyed (and therefore a fresh Certificate of Title is necessitated), of TBirity-one Shillings, which is the highest sum allowed by the Act, no matter what tbe yalue or area of tbe land. Under tbe Eegulations in force ou and after the let January, 187fc, the charge for Certificates of Titles issued upon Memoranda of Transfer is reduced to Ten Shillings in all cases where the value of the land is under Ten Pounds. Tbe total cost of executing a mortgage or 1 lease of land, registered under tbe Acs, is Twelve Shillings, no matter what the amount ' involved. i A mortgage may be transferred or discharged, or a lease kar^ferred or surrendered for Five Sbilliags.
