Notwithstanding the mud they are agtin at road work. The road party and A.C.'s had cleared to within a few chains of the main Pariliaka road. They in* tend to push on from there as far as they can, and then to shift camp to Waitaki, which is about five miles distance from here. The party will work, backwards and forwards. Major Gorring's camp is only five miles distant from Waitaki, so that between the two miles there will be only two miles and a half required to be done to connect the; road to the two camps.
