INGLEWOOD AND NORTH STAR.
The tributors, six in number, commenced work in the mine on Tuesday last, since when they have been engaged filling up to prevent drainage from the old workings, and oiherwise preparing for a fair start. Everything is now ready ftr carrying on the tribute. The arrangement between the tributors themselves, as also between them and the Company, was formally ratified by the directors on Srturday ereniug last, and work will now be proceeded with energetically. A winze will be put down on the stone to a depth of 50ft, which will occupy about seven weeks. Eleven feet of the distance has already been sunk, and the reef shows a j,h|ckness of 4ft, and carries payable gold.
Immediately that the shaft reaches the distance mentioned stoping out wil corns monce. The . tributors are all thoroughly practical and experienced miners. Hnd their undertaking cannot but result successfully to themselves, and advantageously to the Company.
