BULLER ROAD.
—. --♦ — [TO THE EDITOR INANGAHtTA TIMES.] Sib, — Allow me, space in your pa| «r to answer a letter which appeared in jour contemporary of the 10th instant, signed by a carter named Cox. He takes exception to the truth heiog told about the narrowness of his waggon wheels. Well, sir, his letter teems with tnisstatements. Any person wishing to discriminate between the Engineer's report and Cox's letter can do so by measuring the tires ol the waggon in question, which are aboul two inches in width, and totally unfit t< carry heavy loads on a narrow road like that betweeu Westporfc and Reefton The literary waggoner trie 3to throw the onus of the damage he does to the road to the maintenance contractors not fulfill" ing tbeir engagements with County Council. The attempt of Cos to dictate to the public by appointing himself road overseer is only to be equalled by his misstatements.— l am, &c, Voice from the Eoad. Buller Eoad, July 16th, 1880.
