The Warden ruled the objection to be insufficient, and granted the application. Nearly the whole of Tuesday and Wednesday's eatings of the House were taken up with the consideration of the estimate, on the Education vote. The amount asked by the Minister was r £297,730, but consented to a reduction of £32,008, as it was intended to make a large reduction in the allowances to local committees and omit the grants to .pub • lie libraries.
