No entry will be received for any of tbe races except on this condition— That o'l disputes; claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint Their decisions upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. Tbe term " district horse " shall be uuderstood to mean any horse the bonafide property for a term of not less than three calendar months before the date of tbo race, of a person residing within the County of Inangahua and Riding of Lyell. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary. Entrance money and qualification enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m. ou Thursday, 23rd December. 1880. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any ruce unles he be suboriber to the race fund of not less than 2 soys. Hack, novel, and trotting races excepted. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2a must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the fund should the stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexations. Three horses tuust accept for each event or the public moaey will not be given. Mares allowed 51bs, geldings 31bs throughout the year. Stakes paid less 5 per cent. Dunedin Jockey Club Rules, D. L.
