The programme is now published, and by it we find that nearly £7CO bas been set apart in prize money. The prizes offered for Volunteers armed with rifles and for those with cerbines are placed on an equal footing throughout. Thero being seven matches confined to Volunteers only, for each class of weapon, whilst there are five matches open to any '' member," i e„ Volunteers or non-Volun-teers: For the championships there are four matches (in eich c-ise), having an aggrega'e of 79 shot, being the same test as last year. There is only one match for pimll bores, as it has beeu found that in New Zealand the interest taken in fancy rifles is confined to but few men.
