The programme is now published, and by it we find that nearly £7CO bas been set apart in prize money. The prizes offered for Volunteers armed with rifles and for those with cerbines are placed on an equal footing throughout. Thero being seven matches confined to Volunteers only, for each class of weapon, whilst there are five matches open to any '' member," i e„ Volunteers or non-Volun-teers: For the championships there are four matches (in eich c-ise), having an aggrega'e of 79 shot, being the same test as last year. Tho old North v South matches remain the same but in pln^e of the Challenge Cups ench member of the winning team becomes entitle J to a st:>r of silver and gold. The cups arc ofF.'ml as prizes in the company's te»m matches Nos. 16 and 17. These ma' dies wiil prove the most interesting of the meeting and it is expected that a keen competition will take place for them and the very liberal monoy prizes offered viz , £25, £10, md £5. A new feature appears in the shape of a representative mateh — j one man otdy from any corps, This representative can be either nomii a^ed, elected or become en'itWl io represent his company by a competitive tiring. There is only one match for pimll bores, as it has beeu found that in New Zealand the interest taken in fancy rifles is confined to but few men. Altogether the programme presents a very creditable appearance,
