No entry will be received for any of the races except on this condition— That a'l disputes; claims, and objections arisirg out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or those whom the; may appoint. Their decisions upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. The term " district horse " shall be uuderstood to mean any liorse tlie honaflde property for a term of not less than three cAvtiAa! months before the date of tho race, ol a person residing within tho County of Inangihua and Riding of Lyell. All entries to be sealer! and addressed to the Secretary. Entrance money and qualification enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of tbe horse, name of the owner, and colovs of tho rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m. on Thursday, 23rd December, 1880. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race unles he be subcribpr to the race fund of not less than 2 soys. Hack, novel, and trotting races excepted. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s mubt be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the fund should the stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexations.
