No entry will be received for any of tbe races except on this condition — That all disputeß; claims, and objections arising out of tbe racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint. Their decisions upon all points connected with, the carrying out of tliis programme shall be final. The term " district horse " shall be uuderstood to mean any horse the lonajide property for a term of not less tl>an three calendar months before the date of the race, of a person residing within tho County of Inangnbua and Riding of Lyell. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary. Entrance money and qualification enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m. on Thursday, 23rd December. 1880. y No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race uples he ba suboriber to the race fund of not less than 2 sdvs. Hack, novel, and trotting races oseepted. la tbe event of any person, entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to tbe fund should the stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexations.
