RULES AND REGULATIONS. Night of general, entry, 23rd December, 1880. No entry will be received for any of the races except on this condition— That a'l disputes; claims, and objections arisirg out of tho racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint. ; Their decisions upon oil - points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. The term " district horse " shall be understood to mean any horse the bona fide property for a term of not less than three calendar months before the date of the race, of a person residing within tho County of Inangahua and Riding of Lyell. All entries to be'sealed and addressed to the Secretary. Entrance money and qualification enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m. on Thursday, 23rd December. '1880. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race unles he be suboriber to the race fund of not less than 2 soys. Hack, novel, and trotting races excepted. Iv the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of £3 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the fund should the stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexations. Three horses mnst accept for each event or the public money will not be given. Mare? allowed 51bs, geldings 31bs throughout the year. Stakes paid less 5 per cent. Dunedin Jockey Club Bules, D. L.
