[fhom oub own cobbespondent.] London, November 15, The great Bculling race, Tricketfc of Sydney (Australia) and Hanlan 'of Toronto (America) for the [Championship of the World, the Sportsman 43haj!enge^UD||Dul £200 juy^ took place tosday over the niSai crorl ePbif : f the Thames, and resulted in ah easyvictory for Hanlan. Later, i The greatest interest was taken in the race for the Championship. The attendance of *he public was enor* mou8 — crowds lining the banks of the river along tbe course. The betting at the start was greatly in favor of Hanlan, who was in splendid form. Tbe t.vo men went off with a good start, and in smooth water. Hanlan commencing with 28, and Tricketfc 31 strokes per minute. They kept together for the first half mile, pulling evenly, but afterwards Hanlan took the lead, and played with Trickefct during the three lsafc miles, winning the race easily by fully two lengths, There was great excitement, and cheering The time of the race was 26mins. 12=sees. Me&bojjrne, November 15. It has been conclusively proved that the gold was shipped on board the Tararua. Nothing further, however, is known.
