. -o— Lord Elcbo, in the midst of an otherwise dull speech iv the House of Commons on the Irish Relief Bill, thus amusingly satirised the action of tbe Government in connection with the Irish Compensation Bill :— lie said the principle of this Bill was put in a nutshell iv a letter. whioh he received frum a correspondent at Bristol.
