Question having arisen a* to the legality of the form for conveyti.e the meeting, it was raoved by the Chairman, that this committee stands pdjourned until 3 p.m. for the purpose of obtaining the opinion of the County Solicitor. Seconded by Mr Byrne, and carried. Meeting adjourned aocordinslyv On re-assembling it was resolved that a Special Meeti?;C of the Council be called for Tuesday, the llili instant, at 200 p.m., for the purpose of resolving the Council into a committee of the" whole for dealing with applications foe the office of engineer. A meeting of the Tender Gommittee was hell at the Council Chambers, lleef* ton, on Monday, January the 3rd, 1881, at 4 p.m. Present : Mr Jlrenrian (Chairman), and Messrs Byrne, Trennery, Davies, Williams, Two tenders having been received, namely, from Messrs Potts and MirGn. for printing and advertising for the ensuing twelve months, and af'er having been duly considered, it was proposed by the Chairman, and seconded by Mr Byrne, and carriel. that the tender of Mr Potts of the litakgvhua Time* Office be accented. With reference to the tenders for pro* fee tire works at Bo'itoun's Creek, it was moved by Mr Davies, seconded by Mr Trenoery. and carried, that the tenders he returned until the new Engineer would be appointed.
