Canterbury went to the wickets first, but three were soon dis* posed of for nine runs. The match continues for three days. Invercahgill, 29. Oliver, Minister of Public Works, was booted by a mob at the railway station on arrival last night. A banquet was eiven to him and Major Atkinson, at the Club Hotel. Wellington, 29.
