The term " County horse " shall be understood to mean any hone, the bona fide property of persons resident in the County for a term of not less than three calendar mouths before the date of the race, of a person residing within the County of Inangahua. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sura of £2 2s must be lodged with 'the Secretary before such prosest is considered, this sura to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. • Three horaea must start for each event, or the public mouey will not be given.
