[fbom: oub own gobbespondent.] London, March 3,\ An outrageous scene again occurred in the House of Commons to-night, owing to the obstructive taotics of the Irish members, several of whom mpda. vehement and excited speeches. Healey, member for Wexford, who was one of the most, violent obstructionists, was by the Speaker's order suspended for the remainder of the sittjng, and bad to leaye the House: Dillon, member for Tipperary, made an inflammatory speech on Irish affairs, in the course of which he upheld the cause of the tenants and justified their action in shooting landlords who caused their eyiction or refused to accept a reduction in rents. Gladstone has so far recovered from the recent injury to his head as to be able to again attend the House of Commons, where he was present to»nighi. It is announced that Childers, Secretary for War, will shortly propose in the House of Commons that considerable increase should be mqde in the regular force of the British army, and that with this object recruit* of the age of 19 should be accepted for service. It is further known that Mr Childers will at the same time propose several re* forms in the organisation of the army. The Coercion Bill has received the Queen's assent and has become law. The land League has issued a manifesto, expressing its defiance of tbe Coercion Act. Sydney, March 4. The cricket match between the Australian team and the combined team, of New South Wales and Victoria commenced here to-day. The combined team went in first, and when play closed for the tiight they were all out for 197. Massie, 80, and Bannerman, with 64. were top scorers. When the stumps were drawn for the day, the Australians had scored 50 runs with the loss of one wicket. The excitement consequent on the discovery of gold at Mount Pool, near Grey Ranges continues. Organised parties have started from Wilcannia to the scene of the discovery. Teams have started with rations from Grafton. 50 ounces of gold were yielded from two buckets of quarfz at the Garabaldi claim, Solferino reef; 89 ounces were got from two buckets. Miners from Temora are rushing to the Mount Poole digginge, though news is unreliable. __ , , Cape Town, March 1. Intelligence has been received that the proposals which had been made to the Basutos by the Commander of the Colonial forces have remniDed unanswered and that the armistice has accordingly ceased. No further operations can be proceeded with in consequence of the heavy rains.
