The evidence showed that very hard swearing has been dope on one side or the other. Ohbistchubch, March 7. An extraordinary accident occurred on Saturday near the Rollestoc Junction to a man named Lafferdy, driving- a horse; roller. He fell from tbe seat dropping between tbe horse and the heavy cylinder, the roller passing over his head. The injuries he sustained are severe, bat the man was taken to the Christchnrch hospital where be remained in an unconscious state till last night when tie par* tially regained sensibility, and although m an extremely critical state, he is pro* gressing favorably. His case even at the hospital is regarded as a most extraordinary one.
