Under the Regulations in force on and aitei the Ist January, 187S&, the charge for Certifi' cates of Titles issued upon Memoranda oi Transfer is reduced to Ten Shillings in all caees where the value of the iand is undei Ten Pounds. Th i total cost of executing a mortgage oi leas«3 of land, registered under the Act, is Twelve Shillings, no matter what the amount involved. A mortgage may be transferred or discharged, or a lease twirsferred or surrendered lor Five Shillings. THESE OrERATIOaS INVOLVE NO DELAY. The following are some of the advantiges conferred by the Land Transfer system :— 1. It secures the principal benefits and advantages sought to be attained in the Bjstern of registration of deeds. 2. It renders retrospective investigation ol title unnecessary as to all laud re gistered. 8, It simplifies the Titles to Real Propeity for the future 4. It makes purchasers of ihe fee and leases perfectly secure, to. It simplifies, to the u.fani«it possible l_ ei-t, the iorms of transfer and the n.odes oi conveyance. • 6. It increases the saleable value of land. ?. It tends to lower the rate of hterest on loans secured ou lands. 8. It gives facilities for the sale oi lar>'e esiatcs in allotments. ° 9. Transactions can be effected at a moineut's notice, and at a minimum cost.
