HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.

» The meeting of the Eeefton Hospital Committee was held at the County Council Chambers on Wednesday, the 4ih of May, 188 J. Present : Messrs M'Q'iarrie, Caples, Aiken, Collings, Wise, and Craig. Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The Medical Officer's report, and letters from the proprietors of the Times and Herald were read, and received also from Mr EBe, of the Despatch Foundry Company, offering to exhibit for the benefit of the institution, bis collection of mechanical models, and other exhibits. Eesolved that the offer of the proprie* tors of the Times and Herald be thankfully accepted, and that the secretary write to Mr Eae respecting the exhibition for further information on the subject, and gratefully accepting the kind offer. The sub - committee appointed last meeting, brought up the draft set of rules, and submitted them to the meet* ing. Moved by Mr M'Quarrie, seconded by Mr Collings, and carried, that the rules as now amended and read, be adopted. Eesolved that tenders be callfd. for printing the rules, stating the cost for printing 100, 200, 300, or 400 copies in a pamphlet form, and that the Visiting Committee be empowered to accept ten* ders. The following accounts were presented for payment :—
