JUST IN-TIME COMPANY.
This company hare invited tenders, from the mining engineers and surveyors practising in the field, for surveying and preparing plans of the mine, together with suggestions for the best mode of raising stone from the winze, whence the good crashing was obtained last week, and also for an estimate of cost for the suggested winding gear. Applications will be considered this evening at a directors meeting, when, judging from|profes» sional examinations made on the spot, feasible plans will be submitted for aj> proval. Pending these arrangements, mining operations have been discon* tinued during the week. The cleaning np after last weeks' crashing, resulted in 920z9 Siwts retorted gold, from 65 tons of quartzThe low level tunnel schem ft , which was initiated some time since, will be further discussed this evening at an adjourned meeting of delegates of the Eureka, Homeward Bound, Specimen Hill, and the Occidental Companies. In the meantime, no work is being done, Bnd will probably not be resumed until either a compromise plan is matured, or the joint project abandoned*
