It has transpired that the Hon Earl GJran** vil'.e, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, has referred to tbe Tunisian treaty in a recent despatch to the French Government, emphatically protesting that France will be expected *o fulfil existing treaty obligations, and to respect the priviliges that England has hitherto enjoyed in connection with the Government of the Tunisian principality. CpNSTANOPi"*, May 21. The Sultan has issued a decree deposing B<*y {Sidney Mahomed El Sadok from the regency of the Tunisian principality. Paris, May 21. The French Government has resolved to uphold the Bey in possession of the Tunisian throne against the edict which bas been issued by the Porte for deposing him. Despatches reoeived by the Government from tbe commander of the French forces in Tunis state that tbe opposition of the native tribes the advance of French troops has been entirely overcome, the Arabs having been everywhere repulsed ; Bej* and Mater have been captured and ocem» pied, LoNpojr, May 21.
