OUR MINES.
MURRAY GREEK. (from otjb mining bepobteb ) GOLDEN TREASURE. faking in the levels at the bottom of the shaft has been continued satisfactorily since the start. The north drive is now in 30 feet, and the south dtiye 15 feet. On both sides the stone' averages the already reported dimensions, and con» tains a good percentage of gold, as will be seen from the returns below. As soon as the drives are sufficiently advanced to leave room for the workmen, the present number of twelve, will be increased and stoping out commenced, when it is ex* pected that continuous crushing will be maintained; The machine is now only engaged during the day shift. A partial cleaning up of top plates took place today, and the result is given at 66 ozs 16 dwts of retorted gold from about 60 tous of stone. This is computed to be equal to 30dwts to the ton, if a complete clean* ing up were made, which, under the cir« cutnstances, must be considered a very handsome yield indeed.
