John Davis charged with rape on Alice Messenger, tinder 10, was sentenreil to seven years, owing to his age (70 year?) the ju^ge said he would not order flogging. At the Supreme Court Samuel Stewart, charged with rape on a child 6 years of agp, was acquitted. ' Michael O'Grady, for fraudulent bank ruptcy, was forfrid guilty.
