AT an adjourned special meeting of the Council held at the Council Chambers, Keefton August Ist, 1881, it was resolved on the mo' ion of Councillor Williams, seconded by Councillor Trennery— That the Council doth by this lesolution make aud levy a separate rate of three pence in the pound on the anuual value of all rateable property as appearing in tbe valuation roll for the time being in force within that portion of the Hiding of Eeefton as defined by the following boundaries, viz— On the north by the right-of-way between Shiel-street and Church street ; on the south by the Inangahua river; ou the east bj Donovan-street and on the west by Hampden road ; and the said rate is hereby made : That it bo for a period of one year commencing on the Ist day of September, 1381 ; and that it be pajable in one sum on the 7th day of September. 1881. and this resolution is hereby declared to be a special order of the said Council.
