AT an adiourned special 'meeting of the Council held at the CouncU Chambers, Reefton August Ist, 1881, it was resolved on the motion "of Councillor Williams, seconded by Councillor Trennery— That the Council doth by this resolution make and levy a *eparate rate of three in the pound on the annual value of all rateable property as appearing in tbe valuation roll for the time being in force within : that portion of the Riding of Reefton as defined by the following boundaries, viz— On the north by the right-of-way between Shiel-street and Church street ; on the south by the Inangahua river j on ths east by Donovan-street and on the west by Hampden road ; and the said vate is hereby made •• That it be for a period of one year commencing on the Ist day*of September, 1881 ; and that it be pajable in one sum on the 7th day of September. 1881. and this resolution is hereby declared.to be a special order of the said Council. Notice ie hereby given that the above rate will be due as above stated and that the .same must be paid to the Bate Collector or ax the ofßce of the Council, Beefton, on the date named.
