RESULT.
The contractors for the further exten* sion of the tunnel feave nearly accomplished their stipulated distance without, bowever,as yet having struck the reef, but as calculations of this description for a variety of causes cannot always fee exact a few feet of latitude must be allowed, and the reef may be expected at any time from now. The company are also cross»cutting in an upper level where present indications would denote the proximity of the reef.
