Sinking on the large block of quarlz, which forms the main lode iv this mine is progressing satisfactorily, and the reef appears to maintain uniform dimensions and quality. A very extensive survey has been made of the mine itself and also of the surrounding country, for the purpose of ascertaining the -most practical plans for the erection of the plant, which will be required for the successful development of the resources of the mine. Plans of future woi-I-in-*s have boen prepared and necessary rights obtained such as certificates for water-nees tramways, machine-sites, paddocks, an! other concomitants to a complete mining plant, which the company purposes "to erect at no distant dn\e.
