All Lands lienated from the Crown after the coming ute operation of " The Land Transfer A 1570," are subject to, and mustbedea with, in manner prescribed by the Act. The following are examples f the fee payable for bringing the land under the pro visions of the Land Transfer Act : — 1. When tbe Title consists of a Grant, dated on or subsequent to the 28th December, 1841, none of the land included in which hae been dealt with — Where the Certificate ef title is directed to issue in tne name of the A iplicant: Value of land £100 ... 0 } ji 2 Where the Certificate of title is directed to issue in the name of the Purchaser: Value of land * 10 ° , 110 0 '.these charges are increased by 4s 2d (Assurance Fund) for every additional £100 in value. 2. These charges also represent the cost of Conveying Land. Inasmucn as applicants to bring land under the Act can direct tbe Certificates of Title to issue in the names of any other persons. Credit for Fees is Given, When desired by the Apilivant in all cases where tbe proprietor applies to have the land registered under the Act in his own name, and the fe?s may remain unpi'i until laid is dealt with. On all Conveyances by Deed under the old system, the cot,t of registration in the Deeds Kegißtry, over and above the Solicitor's charge, is never less than Fifteen Shillings, frequently very much more ; while land winch has beeu bought under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act" can be transferred at a total cost oi Jileven Shillings where a whole section is conveyed} and where only partis couveyed (and thereiore a iresh Certificate of Title is necessitated), of Thinty-onc Shillings, which is the highest sum allowed by the Act, no matter what the yalue or area of the land. Under the Regulations in force on and after the Ist January, IB7i. the charge for Certificates ot Titles issued upon Memoranda of Ira nsier is reduced to Ten Shillings in all eates where the value ot the land is under leu Pounds.
