The following are examples f the fee payable for bringing the luud under the pro visions of the Land Transfer Act: — 1. When the Title consists of a Grant, dated on or uubsequent; to the 28th December, 1841, none of the land included in which has been dealt with— sThere the Certificate of title is directed to issue in tbe name of the A ip}icant : Value of laud £100 tt f v 2 Where the Certificate of title is directed to issue in tbe name of the Purchaser: Value of land £100 1 10 0 These charges are increased by 4s 2d (Assurance Fund) for every additional £100 in value. When the Applicant is the original Grantee, and the land ban been dealt with ; or where the Applicant is not the original Grantee — Where the value of the land is £100 £& w 2 Where the value of the land £200 8 3 Where the value of the land is £30 3 12 6 here the value of the land is £400 4 18 W here tho value of land is above £400, the fees ncrease at the rate of4>j2d (Assur- ; arce Fund) for every additional £100 in value. Theß» charges also represent the cost of Conveying Land. Inasmucn as applicante to bring land under the Act can direct the Certificates of Title to issue in the names of any other pereous. Credit for Fees is Given, When desired by the Ap} lii-ant in all caseß where the proprietor applies to have the land ! registered under the Act in his own name, ; and the fe*« may remain unp*'i until land is dealt with. Any person, therefore, who wishes to bring his land under the provisions of the Act, in order thai whenever he deals with it he muy be in a position to avail himself of the facilities nflbrded by having a Registered Title, can do so Without Any Present Cost, by allowing the fees to remain unpaid until such dealing takes place. He will then bo in a position to Mortgage, Transfer, Lease, or otherwise deal with his land at a moment's notice. Any Title, however long and complex, may be investigated at a cost to the Applicant of only Five Shillings ; for if tbe Title is reeded all fees are returned, with the exception oi tha lamouvt. j CERTIFICATES OF TITLE AHE ABSOLUTELY INDEFEASIBLE. all titles abe guaranteed by the government. On pll Conveyances by Deed under the old s/stem, the cost of registration in tite Deeds Registry, over and above the Solicitor's charge, is never less than Fifteen Shillings, frequently very much more ; while land which has been ! bought under the provisions of " The Lund Trausller Act" can be transferred at a total cost of lijeven Shillings where a whole section is conveyed; and where only partis conveyed (and therefore a fresh Certificate of Title is l-ecessitated), of 'Ihmtyono Shillings, which is the highest sum allowed by the Act, no matter what the value or area of the land. Under the Regulations in force on and alter the Ist January, 187 L, the charge for Certificates ol Titles issued upon Memoranda of 'iransfer is reduced to Ten Shillings in all cases where the value of the land is unuer Ten Pounds. Th i total cost of executing a mortgage or leaso of land, registered under the Act, is Twelve Shillings, no matter what the amount involved. A mortgage may be transferred or discharged, or a lease twu'sferred or surrendered ior luve Shillings. THESE OrERATIOJNS INVOLVE NO DELAY.
