REEFTON JOCKEY CLUB.

*- A meeting ot ihe above club was held at Mr Lee's office, on Weduesday even* ing, 12th instant. Present : Messrs Mirfio (chair), Bowman, Dawson, Connolly, Beiiby, Paine, Williams, and Twohill. Proposed by Mr Williams, seconded by Mr Twohill, and enrrierf, that Messrs Brennan, be appointed judge, John Dick (starter), W. Richardson (clerk of j course), Thomas Lee (clerk of scales). J. S. Smith, (treasurer), and Messrs Dawson, Wise, Bowman, Edwards, Connolly, M'Quillau, Qaigley, Stevenson. Wirfin, Paine, Twohill, Williams, and Beiiby (stewards.) The programme es prepared by a snb' committee was, on a motion of Mr Connolly, seconded by Mr Quigley, read and adopted. After a considerable discussion on the subject, it was proposed by Mr Beiiby, seconded by Mr Bowman,' and "carried, that Messrs Dawson, Dick, and Williams, be appointed a sub-committee to arrange for the erection of a Grand Stand, and to report to the meeting on Monday nest. Proposed by Mr Connolly, seconded by Mr Paine, and carried, that the necessary fencing be arranged for by the Ground Committee. The printing of programme and necessary advertising was then discussed, and it was* ultimately agreed to offer the printing to local papers at a fixed price, and the meeting adjourned till Monday evening, 8 p.m., atgMr Lee's office.
