GOLDEN TREASURE.
The sinking of the shaft is being continued at a fair rate, and 32 feet has now been added to the original depth of 85 feet. The stone,, which is being carried down, is aboutf 4 feet wide, with very eood gold, and seem 9 to continue of regnlar dimensions, with very little varia* tion. It is intended to continue sinking yet for about 50 feet, when a splendid block of good stone will be available. The north low level has now been eitended 40 feet without any alteration, and the last contract of 50 feet iv the main level has been completed, and an additional 50 feet let to the same contractors. This portion of the level is being used for a horse-walk to the whip in order not to impede the traffic in connection with the output of stone from the various stopes which are supplying quartz to the mill. After the general overhaul of the plant crushing was again started on Monday lost, and the plates now exhibit a good show of gold.
