No entry will be received for any of the races except on tbis condition — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising ont of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint. Their decisions upon all points connected with the carrying oat of this programme shall be final. The terra "district bowe", shall be understood to mean any horsp the bona fide property from Ist October, 1881 of a person residing within the Cfounty of luangahua aud Riding of Lyell. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary. Entrance money and qualification enclosed, with the nume, age, and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner and colours of the rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m., on Thursday, 22nd December 1881. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race unless he be a subscriber to the race fund of not less than 2 soys j hock and Trotting races excepted. In the event of a**y person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to he forfeited to the funds r-bould the Stewards considered the protest frivolous or vexatious. Three horses must accept for each event or tbe publio money will not be given. Mares allowed 51bs, gelding 31bs. throughout the year ; stokes paid less 6 per cent. Dunedin Jockey Club Rules. B. J.
