No entry will be received for any of the races except on this condition — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or those whom they may oppoint. Their decisions upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. The term "district horse" shall be understood to mean any horse the bona fide property from Ist October, 1881 of a person residing within the County of Inangahua aud Riding of Lyell. AH entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary. Entrance money and qualification enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of the horse, nume of the owner and colours of the rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m., on Thursday, 22nd December 1881. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race unless ho be a subscriber to the race fund of not less than 2 soys ; hack and Trotting races excepted. In the event of ary person entering a protest, the cum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretnry before such protest is considered, this sum to te forfeited to the funds chould the Stewards considered the protest frivolous or vexatious.
