William Barley, water- race 400 yarls, 'ast of right-hand branch of Lankey's ; ail-race 200 yards, left»hand branch of Lankey's ; and dam. 100 x 120, west lide of Lankey's. The whole of the ipplications were granted. A. Seabright, double area, wept of Cankey's Gully, east of Kidel's tail-race ; granted. Bolitho and party, tail* race near old lattery, Lankey : s ; granted. William Lyncb, taiUrace, commencing t hi 9 dam at Boatman's Creek, ter» sinating at his washing sit?, and also rasfoing site on ledge of a rock left-hand ide Boatman's Creek, 700 feet Mow Veleome battery, which were granted. Golden Treasure, machioe&site, 2\ acres ; ranted. Mr Perotti, for a gold mining lease, ixteen and a-hulf acres ; adjourned for urvpy. Golden Fleece 'Extended, for a gold ' lining lease ; adjourned for survey. Application granted on condition that no injury be done to Morrison and party. Wealth of Nations, to alter course of registered water*race, commencing about two chains from present dam* and ter* minating near present site, south of Lackey's Creek ; granted. Welcome Company, for a tailings site, one and a-half acres, near Rodger's bridge ; granted. Eureka Compaoy, application for funs nel and other rights at Boatman's. Objected to by the Welcome and Fiery Cross Companies. Mr Lynch, for objectors, asked- for an adjournment as be had only just returned from Nelson, and was not preperly posted up in the matter. Mr Jnnes, for tbe applicants, objected to ' a lengthened adjournment. The Warden adjourned the case until 10 o'clock on Friday morning, November 4. Kidd v. Johnson. A complaint for blocking up a regis* tered tail«race at Lankey's Gully. Damages— £s. James Kidd, miner, said— I produce certificate for a tail-race in the rightband branch of Lankey's Gully. Johnston has been running tailings into my race, and blocked up the tail-ditch, and buried a sluice box a depth of 3 feet. Alexander Ross — I am tbe original party who registered the race in question, and afterwards transferred to Kidd. The taihrace extends beyond Kidd's Island ; I applied for ibis taiNrace about two years ago. Johnson, the defendant, explained that owing to being debarred from working bis ground, had to commence construct* ing a new taiNrace, fur which he had got a certificate, and that bis tail-race did not in any woy interfere aitb Kidd's rights. Case adjourned till next Court day.
