REIFION JOCKEY CLUB.
♦ A meeting of the 3eefton Jockey Club was held at Mr Lee's Office on Friday evening, the 4th instant, at 9 o'clock. Present : Messrs Mirfin (chair), Williams Quiglej, Uawson, Edwards, Twobill, Richardson, Lee, Smith, Paine, and Beilby. The minutes of the preyioas meeting were read and confirmed. The secretary produced plnns and specifications prepared by Mr Gardner, for a grand stand, 25 r t x 60ft, with two booths of 18ft x 24ft each, and a Steward's room to be erected on the course. Moved by Mr Lee, seconded by Mr Rithardson, and carried, that separate tenders be called for supplying tbe timber required, and for labor only, for erecting the grand stand. Tepders to close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening, Bth November. Moved IV Mr Richarison, seconded by Mr Twohill, and carried, that the squired and sawn timber be tendered for separately, Moved by Mr Twohill, eecon'led by Mr Williams, and carried, that the labor contract be paid not later than the 23rd December, provided the inspector of work has by that time passed it. Moved by Mr Richardson, seconded by Mr Mirfin, and carried, tbat Messrs Edwards and Beilby, be authorised to O'd r and superintend the m j c~ss4r\ labor required at tfie straight runnm, and near the stand, and also to remove ssowe stutnj>s. Resolved that 40 feot be allowed between the course, and the front of the grand stand,
MoreJ by Mr Beilbjr, seconded by Mr Lee, and carried, that the names of Messrs Ching and W. Cochrane, sr., be added to tbe list of Stewards. Messrs Dawson, Dick, and Williams, were appointed to peg oat the site for tbe grand stand. Tbe meeting adjourned till Tuesday, Bth instant, at the same hour and place.
