The battery-house and waterwheel are | completed, and a start is about being made with the race, which being only about two chains in length, will soon be out of hand. The party have a good parcel of stone to grass, and it is probable crushing will be started eariy in February,, la • J,f * -#4 *i /111 UNITED VICTORY (New Creek). Two or three hands are at work in the main tunnel, getting ready for rising. The holiday's being now over, all works will again be actively prosecuted, and this company may shortly be expected to take a prominent position amongst the leading mineß on the field. The time for receiving tenders for mining timber has been extended to Saturday ; and for mining goods till further notice.
