On all Conveyances by Deed tinder the old system, the co»t of registration in the Deeds Kegistry, over and above tbe Solicitor's charge, is never less than Fifteen Shillings, frequently very much more; while land which has been bought under the provisions of "The Lund Transfer Act" can be transferred at a total cost of Jileven Shillings where a whole section is conveyed ; and where only partis conveyed (and therefore a fresh Certificate of Title is necessitated), of Thinty-one Shillings, which is -the highest sum allowed by the Act, no matter what the value or area of the land. Under the Regulations in force ou and after the Ist January, 187 i, the charge for Certifi* cateß of Titles issued upon Memoranda of Transfer is redaced to Ten Shillings in all cuees where the value of the land is under Ten Pounds. Th 1 total cost of executing a mortgage or leaso of land, registered under the Act, is Twelve Shillings, no matter wU&t the amount involved.
